We’re looking for new trustees to join the Creative Glasgow Board and help shape our next chapter.
Please see the full recruitment pack here.
Since we launched as Creative Glasgow in 2025, after our transition from Glasgow Connected Arts Network, we’ve grown our membership, expanded our programme, and built our place as a trusted voice in Glasgow’s creative and cultural life. Now we want to strengthen the Board that guides it. We’d love to hear from you.
You’d help steer a growing cultural charity, support our sectors to become more connected, equitable and resilient, and build your own governance and leadership experience with people who’ll back you. You don’t need previous trustee experience. We’re keen to hear from people whose backgrounds and perspectives are underrepresented in creative and cultural leadership.
The role
- Voluntary and unpaid (we reimburse reasonable expenses in line with policy)
- Four to six Board meetings a year, the AGM, and the occasional sub-group or strategy session
- Glasgow-based, with meetings in person and online
- Appointment confirmed at the AGM
Skills we want to add to the Board Finance and accounting, legal and governance, fundraising and income generation, HR and organisational development, digital and communications, community engagement, climate and sustainability, and arts and creative industries policy. No previous trustee experience required. We especially welcome underrepresented voices.
We look after new trustees. You’ll get a full induction, a trustee buddy or mentor, regular check-ins with the Chair and Executive Director, governance training, and a six-month settling-in period.

Send a CV (max 2 pages) and a covering letter or statement (max 2 pages) to admin@creativeglasgow.co.uk. Tell us why you’d like to be a trustee, what skills, knowledge or lived experience you’d bring, and how you connect with our mission and values.
Deadline: Monday 17 August 2026, 12 noon. We shortlist and hold informal conversations in September, make recommendations to the Board in October, and confirm appointments at the AGM in October 2026.
We’re committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and we’ll make reasonable adjustments wherever you need them. Want a chat before you apply? Email Rosemary James-Beith, Executive Director, at director@creativeglasgow.co.uk.
