This month we’re heading East to be hosted by Collective Communities
Thursday 26th March 2-4pm, £FREE
Collective Communities is a creative hub and event space that supports emerging talent, local enterprise and cultural activity. They have a thriving community of brands, artists, entrepreneurs and charities based in the heart of Glasgow’s East End.
The event will explore new developments in the venue and surrounding area, with a tour of the Collective Communities co-working and events spaces in East Campbell Street, contributions from tenants and creative collaborators. The meet up will end with a visit to Strange Exchange, a library and community learning space nestled in The Barras, just 5mins walk away.
Our Spotlight Contributors
Strange Exchange (pictured) is a library and community learning space in the East End of Glasgow. They share resources and programme events that facilitate exchange around arts education, play and collaboration. Part of arts organisation Strange Field, they focus on process-led and experimental practices connected to alternative arts education and creative learning projects. They collect and celebrate work that often remains unseen beyond its immediate context, this includes outcomes and experiments from artist-led programming, artist books, toolkits, publications, ephemera and artworks.
Stuck? Collective CIC is a new organisation that partners with hospitality venues to showcase artists work throughout the city. Currently partnered with Fern andThe Glad Cafe, they are looking to create a sustainable arts economy outside of traditional gallery spaces.
This event is free and open to all – so bring your ideas, your enthusiasm, and your creative spirit – we can’t wait to see you there!
