PEOPLE OF GLASGOW
BAFTA celebrated, multi-award-winning Scottish film and TV Production Company Bad Pony Media UK are working on the third season of their new Amazon Originals series “People of Glasgow”. A cross spectrum of Glaswegian’s of all ages and from all walks of life, backgrounds and demographics are being sought for the latest episodes of the half-hour series across the following categories; musicians, actors, artists, community workers, medical practitioners, entrepreneurs, change-makers, authors, and other professionals. Also being sought are those with “unusual jobs” or “job titles”, and those with passion projects that “break conventional barriers or challenge the status quo”. The only prerequisite is that all candidates MUST have a love and connection to the city of Glasgow – for instance, having worked, lived and/or studied, launched their business in Glasgow etc – for a minimum of one-to-three years. POPULATION HEALTH FILM
Film-maker and Future 100 Award Winner Frank McGowan and Creative Pool Next Gen nominated broadcaster Emma Newlands have teamed up to produce a hard-hitting new documentary for policy-makers in Scotland, looking at healthcare inequality in places such as Springburn, Possilpark and the surrounding areas of North Glasgow. The team are on the lookout for everyday people and/or health or community professionals willing to share their insights, stories and experiences across things such as healthcare, food provisions, green-spaces, schools, education, addiction services and more to contribute to the powerful film. The completed project will be put forward to Scottish government policy makers, and will go towards the creation of more robust and suitable policies for people across Scotland.
