We work with creatives, universities, cultural organisations, councils, businesses and funders across Glasgow and beyond. Recent partners include the University of Glasgow, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, City of Glasgow College and Agile City.

Design Audacity
Dates: October 2026 to June 2027
Design Audacity pairs designers with Glasgow businesses to take on real sustainability challenges. Three commercial business partners each host a designer or design studio, with a mentor and a project budget, to develop bold, speculative ideas in response to a challenge the business sets.
What comes out of it goes public through an exhibition, events and case studies, showing how design can help businesses go beyond net zero and give back to the environment and their communities.

Culture Matters
Dates: March to June 2026, returning in 2027
CULTURE MATTERS is a series of free panel events on the big policy questions facing Scotland’s creative and cultural sectors. We programme and run it with the University of Glasgow’s Cultural Industries subject, bringing academic research together with the people doing the work.
In 2026 we asked three questions: Does Scotland need a Culture Act? What legacy will the Commonwealth Games leave for culture? Does Scotland need a basic income for artists? All three sold out at the University’s Advanced Research Centre, with artists, cultural workers, students, academics and policymakers in the room. Three more events are planned for 2027.

Split Screen
Dates: December 2025 to present, now in its second year
Split Screen helps creative practitioners explore how new technology can fit into their practice, from XR and motion capture to digital avatars and AI, with a focus on performance. It’s led by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Innovation Studio.
In year one we helped recruit participants, promoted the programme, supported its evaluation and ran a business development workshop for the cohort, across three training days, public evenings with artists including Rachel Maclean and Maria Sappho, and two development sprints. We’re back as a partner for year two, alongside Citizens Theatre, Arcadia and The Work Room.

Sustainable Designs for Living and Learning
Dates: April to August 2025 (artist recruitment). The wider project runs until 2028.
SDLL is a three-year research project exploring how languages, the arts and permaculture can support learning for sustainability in Scottish primary schools.
We ran the artist recruitment. We helped shape the call-out and contracts, reviewed more than 40 applications, shortlisted 16 and co-led the interviews. Three Glasgow-based artists, Hamshya Rajkumar, Florence Logan and Louise McVey, are now working with pupils and teachers in schools.

Spatial Ecologies for Culture
Dates: March 2025 to present
Where can creatives make, show and share work in Glasgow, and what’s putting those spaces under pressure? We started asking in March 2025 at our symposium, Spaces and Places for Creatives in the City, at Civic House. More than 70 members helped write a co-created action plan, which calls for mapping the spaces available, targeted research, training, policy advocacy and a renewed focus on access and equity.
In April 2026 we brought the city’s architecture and design communities into the conversation with a Lightning Night at Collective Architecture. The same question runs through our LAST THURSDAY meet-ups, which take members into studios, workshops and venues across the city.

The Bold Collective
Dates: 2024 to 2025
The Bold Collective was our youth-led group for young creatives aged 16 to 25. Members met monthly to decide on the workshops and events they wanted, took our Participatory Arts Short Course, and then led their own projects.
Across 29 workshops and events there were 172 participations. Highlights included risograph printing with Hot Pink Press, a sketching day at The Burrell Collection, a family boat-building day at Pinkston Water Sports, and four sustainability microgrants that ended in an exhibition at Milk. The programme has now finished, and we’re proud of everyone who took part.
