Over 300 artists, arts organisations, academics, think tanks and campaigners have signed the open letter. To ensure the success and long-term impact of any pilot, we call for:
- Meaningful consultation and co-design with artists and creative workers
- Cross-party engagement and support, to ensure stability beyond electoral cycles
- Collaboration with key institutions, including creative unions, cultural bodies, funders and sector organisations
- A focus on accessibility and inclusion, ensuring that the pilot reaches those most affected by financial insecurity
